1.1  Finance Committee

 

Mhairi is awaiting a response from the sports union finance committee with regards to extra money for the club.

 

1.2  Play before you Pay

 

Play before you pay will take place again on weds the 17th of Jan.

2.1 Bus Insurance Claims

 

Julia will investigate the pending bus insurance claims as the committee are feeling left out of the loop by the insurance company.

 

2.2 MCof S

 

Julia has now received a cheque from the MCofS for the money owed to the club due to Safety and Good Practice cancellations.  Julia to book the university people carrier for the MCofS winter skills course.

3.1 Winter Experience

 

Several of the clubs more experienced members have volunteered to help out at this event.  Their help is much appreciated.  Any further volunteers should contact Andrew McK asap.

 

3.2  Climbing Wall Trips

 

Andrew will hopefully get some climbing wall trips organised for semester 2 dependent on demand.

4.1  Burn’s Night

 

This is the 25th of January at the Queens Hotel and is £25 per head for the meal and Ceilidh, and £10 per head for just the Ceilidh.  The committee will be running a free raffle for those attending the meal.  Prizes supplied by Tiso and hopefully Drouthy’s.

Andrew McK will address the Haggis, Bob will be piping.  Speeches to be organised by the boys and girls.

 

4.2  Annual Dinner

 

The annual dinner will be the 4th – 6th May 2007 venue to be disclosed at a later date.  The hotel and village hall wall be booked asap.

 

4.3  Drouthy’s

 

Sarah will again speak to Drouthys regarding the overdue sponsorship money.

5.1  Highland 2007 Events

 

Iain suggested perhaps using one of our vacant Saturday buses to take some members along to some of the Highland 2007 events at the Fort William mountain festival.
