Apologies

Lori McArthur

President

“The year has been succesful, numbers were perhaps a bit down towards the end of the year but that’s pretty much the usual as exams loom. Ice climbing trip went well, which I'm happy about.”

Treasurer

“After a difficult start to the year financially, we took the tough decision to raise membership and meet fees, which has paid off in that we have avoided any further difficulties ever since despite sponsorship dificulties and unexpected minibus insurance claims. It has also allowed us to run some subsidised training events such as

guided Ice Climbing at the Ice Factor, and subsidising members to attend the MCoS Safety and Good Practice and Winter Skills weekends.  There should also be some money left in the account for the next committee.”

Meets Secretary

“This year has been very successful in terms of Meets. I had tried to take the club to areas that have not been visited in a while and these trips, such as Kintail and Lagangarbh (although not Inbhirfhaolain) were well attended and seem to have been appreciated. Unfortunately we didn't get around to having climbing trips - perhaps something for next years committee to consider.

The year started well with the attendance on freshers day trip and good attendance continued throughout first semester. Second semester, unfortunately, saw the trips to Inbhirfhaolain and Glen Lyon cancelled, but the other trips seemed to go well”

Next Year’s Committee

There was one other contestant for president (Bill Chrystal) and none of the other positions were contested.
